1/2 input recording fail

Hello,

I have a problem: I bought an M-Audio M-track solo and wanted to record it with the DI output of my bass guitar amp, but unfortunately no matter what I tried, at stereo 1/2 recording it only monitors one half of the track and after recording only one half of the speaker sounds. When I set it to mono 1 and record it that way, only one half of the speaker plays (mono 2 doesn’t working). I tried to connect the bass guitar directly to the sound card, but the same problem. I tried it in Ableton and Reaper as well. In Reaper, I managed to get the recording to sound in stereo at the mono 1 recording setting, but it was very quiet. The DAW can only handle the sound card with Asio. Any ideas?

I found this solution, but it didn't help much:

Thank you in advance!

You might have better luck in the “Recording Gear and Equipment” threads.
