I am looking for songs in any style that have basslines or grooves that only use a 1 bar (maximum) pattern (again any style) for a section of the song, it doesn't have to be the whole song.
Examples: Billy Jean (M.J.), Around the World (Daft Punk), Come Together ( The Beatles)

Tons of reggae “riddims” (probably the vast majority) are built around one bar bass lines (provided you count the bars with snare and kick hitting on the two and four in a one drop pattern).

thats 4 bars of 2/4. Allot of these are 2 bar grooves with a rise and a fall. You guys must write long-bass measures, 2/4 is easier to sight read because it's already in there. The Ornette is infinity
