1 x 15" 4 ohm Cabs. Are they a myth?

I have a Dr Bass DRB115 that comes STANDARD in 4 or 8 ohms.

I can run the 1X15 with other 4 ohm cabs with the Carvin B1500 @ 2 ohms or my Genz Benz GBE400 @ 2 ohms OR with my other amps @ 4ohms.

I guess I don't understand this thread.

Are 4 ohm 15" cabs rare? Doesn't seem so.....

i have an ampeg 1x15 at 4 ohms. its not a myth, it just sucks finding another cab 1x5 or 2x10 or 4x10 at 4 ohms

I have a Peavey 1-15 cab with a BW that is rated at 4 ohms. Great preformer, but I don't use it any more. Too heavy!

EBS of Sweden makes two 1x15 models in 4 ohms. A bit pricey in the states, at least the last time I checked.

My Carvins 1 x 15's are 4 ohm. My Peavey 1 x 15's (BW's) are 4 ohm...2 for sale now, on CL...shameless plug... And all my Carvin & Peavey amps handle 2 ohms no problem...and that's the way I use 'em.

My dad has a Peavey 1-15 4 ohm cab. Ported bottom.
