Not a fan of that particular finish, but I would love to have an R8 in my stable.

Yeah the finish is pretty strange, 10 bolts just seems like serious overkill to me

Tom Konig uses 8 bolts on many of his basses. I can understand it on the 12 string but on the 4 it looks a bit overkill. In saying that, he is a perfectionist and if he can put in 8 bolts without making things worse than a 4 bolt then he probably will do so.
