So now I have 2 10 string basses ... one is 30" scale and one is 34" .... the overtones on each are noticably different. Also one is active and one is passive

So my new 6 to 10 string conversion is lately my main player. The neck is a lot wider than I like ... but this bass has awesome tone. I love it for the cheap trick stuff. This really is a bass that should be played with a pick. I am learning to finesse this bass where I can play the root and octave or sometimes the root only. It has an incredible growl and it sounds really good with distortion. This thing is thunderous. I will do a sound byte soon.

the bass kit I used is an Asian clone of the ltd 6 string bass
