$100 Bass Challenge - Ripper Style 30"

Ha! Everything was looking so proportional that it hadn't clicked with me this whole time that the scale was only 30" until I saw the pic of you holding it.
This happened to me also.
Sorry gals and guys, I think i won't make it. I'll bring this project to an end during the next weeks, but not this weekend. I'm out... 
Today I drilled the holes for the balance, volume and the EQ, the output jack and the cavity for the battery. After that I did some fine sanding on the body and applied the first coat of TruOil.

After I decided to leave the challenge, I put some more coats of tru oil on the body and let it dry in the driveway hanging from the basketball hoop. When I returned an hour later, I found it on the pavement...

Ouch, I hate it when that happens. Of course, a distressed finish is within the rules of the challenge
Hope it looks worse than it is, based on the pictures.
It is not perfect but it is okay - sanding, shaping, and again two coats of TruOil. There are some minor ding-dongs left but, there'll be a story to tell about

Just a question: (actually, it's something I wonder about frequently.) Why did you not continue the nice soft radius of the horns around the butt end of the body? I always see basses that have these square-ish edges, and recall an old Kawai bass that I had that had all the body edges rounded off to a half-circle. Seems like it would be more comfy that way.
