1001rbII Lit on fire

don,t know about the ampeg, but i know like my avatars before i modded the connections if you plug in the gk 4pin cable into one you just hooked the main amp to the horn amp and they tend to not like it. i'm sure theres plenty other cabs that woud be the same. i would suggest any time you hook a gk with the horn management sys to any other brand cab, i would use the 1/4" jacks unless you know damn sure how the other cab is wired.

Ok so the real question in this thread. How many people have had their GK's light on fire? Because i use a 1000rb-II plugged into...gasp....an Ampeg SVT 610 HLF.

Not really concerned, but if multiple people have stopped in here and said their heads sometimes like to catch fire. I am a little curious as to whats going on.

My older 1000RB head caught fire while idling at a gig. Sent it in to GK under warranty but it was never the same.

I've owned 3 GK heads - 400RB, 700RB II, and 1001 RB II. Never had any issues with any of them.

And you should have brought the fire/short to the salesguy's attention. You can't be a child ALL your life.

Oh sweet lets comment a really old thread and still talk smack. If you took time to read through the posts you would have seen that I brought it to the salesguy's attention.
