Back with a name change??
He changes thread titles, posts, OP's... Might as well change his name.
Killed_By_Death! Your back! What can I say, I get bored easily.
+1Yes, most of it berating the OP because he referred to a fat kid as "fat." And none of it - both on the OP's side nor on the TBer's side - had anything to do with the meat of th story - the poor behavior of the child and the failure of the parent to mind that child. I never dreamed TBers were so PC, but apparently I am mistaken.
Look, when I am checking out equipment I want to be left alone. I don't care who it is bothering me, leave me alone. but in the case of a child, the parent needs to step in and say, "Leave that gentleman alone" so this doesn't happen. Contrary to modern PC culture, It does not take village to raise a child. It takes a strong parent. That's the argument that should be happening here, not nit-pickers who object to the observation that the kid was overweight. It wasn't like the OP said, "get away from me, Fatty." He didn't.
But you have to admit, there is a stereotype that overfed children will misbehave because they are not taught properly by their parents - about both social skills nor even about nutrition. Again, I will remind you that I was a fat kid myself. I was lazy and ate too much. But my parents made sure I behaved myself.
