Having used both....the answer is neither.
Giggable combos are too heavy and very limiting in terms of flexibility, repair and upgrading.
if it's from the same brand and series at the same power then they should be fairly "equal".
the 2x10 might have a slight advantage as it has two voice coils driving similar speaker cone area instead of one.
Sounds like you need to get an orange crush! I feel that way about an Ampeg SS B15 I used to own, man I miss that amp....I played it thru an Orange Crush 100 - 1x15". This was a year ago and the sound I was getting from it with my bass has never left my ears and I've since tried to replicate it with really no luck

Nothing to do with the speakers size. If you go through all the other makers 15's or 2x10's you will not replicate it.I played it thru an Orange Crush 100 - 1x15". This was a year ago and the sound I was getting from it with my bass has never left my ears and I've since tried to replicate it with really no luck. Which is why I'm where I'm at now.

Ever since I heard an Eden Metro 210 combo, I've preferred the 210's. And that's from a guy who toured in the early 70's with a 215 Standel piggy-back set up. If I had to have a single cab, it would be a 410 (I have a DNS410). However, I am looking at 210 cabs now for small to medium places where I don't need my 410.Everyone's got a preference but would like opinions.
