15" speaker for open back cab

The speaker blew out in this cab quite some time ago, so it's just been sitting around, wondering what would be a good driver that would work in it.

Need a lot more information.
If it is for bass, the speakers will continue to blow. Open back is not good for bass, there needs to be back pressure.
Use it for guitar only.

This is a guitar cabinet, not ideal for use with bass beyond practice volume. Get a bass cab

Eminence do some 15in guitar speakers, although I'm not sure what styles of music they are preferred for. I would have thought one of those would be a safe option. Then sell it and for goodness sake don't put bass guitar through it first or tears will be shed!

Yeah, my phone takes very large pictures, so i had to keep shrinking it till it fit, haha.
I don't suppose anyone knows of any cool guitar speakers I could put in there, cause I can still use it that way.

Some old school-minded jazz guitarists like 15’s for a more mellow, bassy sound.

Weber make several variants, I especially liked the JBL-ish 12" California ceramics I heard several years ago. Here's the 15" version: Ceramic California 15 – Weber Speakers

I believe this was one of the factory options, but that cabinet becomes really heavy this way.

I remember there was an altec lansing in it when it was given to me, dont remember the model but it is also very heavy.

As pointed out, NOT a bass bin.

If it could be sold to a guitar player, with careful shopping, you could make a little money. Admittedly not a lot of them use 15's, but it could be just the ticket for a jazz guitar guy, though the minute I saw it I thought 'steel guitar'.

Put an Eminence Kappalite LF3015 with whatever 100watt tube head you have and watch the world burn.
