I'm not normally into the wild/wacky looking ones, but I have to say that this Cyan bass really does it for me.

Probably would be fun to do, but I wouldn't expect to have anything playable when finished. That's less than half the price of cheap basses made by countries who use inhumane working conditions for their employees. Makes you wonder what shortcuts were taken to get the price this much further down. Red flags everywhere in my mind.

Ya, No kidding. I was thinking something one step removed from building a model airplane. No expectation to fly in it. :p Although my kids have made jewelry for me that I've had to wear. Just imagine gigging with one of these. :rollno:

LOL. The model airplane is a good analogy:)

There are some good things that could come out of it - bonding with your son, getting a better understanding of how a bass is put together, and for him - seeing that if you want something, if you roll up your sleeves you can accomplish surprising things.
