It seems that hollowbody model was actually a rebranded Welson built in Italy: Invalid Link Removed

These too: Link Removed

Good catch.
I've got a serious urge to own a hollow body just because I like the way they look. Every other instrument I've bought because of sound, but there's just something about that style (the EB2 look) that appeals to me.

I bought an Link Removed (single cutaway - semi acoustic) mostly for that same reason. It's a really nice looking bass, but I'm still trying to get that 60's thunky sound out of it.

Found one missing on the list: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]. :hyper:
Morgan is a brand of budget instruments that are quite popular in Norway. I have no idea if they are designing instruments themselves or are just sticking their own brand on them, but at those prices they surely aren't built in Norway.

You're right! They're now on the pending list. (It'll be updated shortly.)

thanks,
Terri

I don't know that you can ever get the thunky sound out of them. You just have to play a lot of old Animals songs so that it fits in.

I had a Hofner 500/2 at one time but sold it because of feed back problems. And the band I was in at the time wasn't all that loud. Has anyone else experienced this problem with hollow bodies?

Here's a better, direct link to the beautiful "Goose" series by Jersey Girl: Link Removed

As for Collier, he has a portfolio here: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I've changed the search function in the Link Removed so you can now...

  1. Search for anything in the name or comments field
  2. Search for contry code (PD was looking for that:) )

(I know the countries aren't alphabetical :crying:)
Also remember that most brands are still missing the country code. I sort that out over time.
