Spector offers 19mm string spacing as an option on their US made 5 strings. My Forte has 19mm spacing. Though finding one below $2k can be challenging

So I fell in love with my Ibanez BTB 845 5-string when I picked it up about a year ago. One of the things I love most about it is the 19mm spacing between the strings. I just feels more natural to me and I don’t trip over the strings near as much as I use to. So the question I have is what other basses out there also have 19mm spacing? Without specifically looking at the description of every bass, it would be nice to know what brands/models are doing that as I would like to pick up another bass or two with that spacing. Isn't every 4 string 19mm? That is standard spacing.

I've also played a BTB 5er as my goto bass in the last 5 years or so due to the same preference of 19mm string spacing as OP's. I'll certainly consider another 5er with 19mm spacing if I'm in the market for one. But, after getting the new Ibanez EHB 5er last year, I've found the 18mm string spacing is also acceptable and there hasn't been any hardtimes switching between the two.

So, my suggestion to OP is to consider also 18mm spacing 5er as an alternative since it seems more readily available in current market from various brands.

Most models of Elricks have 19mm spacing as the standard.

$1,500 and 35” scale, Lakland Skylines are your best new option. MTD might have some good new options and plenty of used options. Carvin/Keisel might good too, if you can find them.

My ESP LTD AP5 is a fantastic bass, extremely well-made with high end components, is about $800 and has 19 mm spacing. It's a killer instrument.

Yes, they are! I freaking love mine. If the OP could compromise on a 34" scale and is patient, they can occasionally be found in the $1500 ballpark.
FWIW in 4-string my P-bass & J-bass are spaced 20mm. (Can nudge that around with the threaded saddles but 20mm is where the strings align best over the magnet poles & neck.) I also have a Musicmaster that is 18mm and a Kay 162 that is 17mm.
IME sometimes spacing can seem wider than it actually is - especially when the neck is really substantial.

This is in the classifieds right now w 19mm and is absolutely gorgeous for only 1K. And Revs are awesome.

As someone who likes 16.5mm spacing, it's definitely not the norm. I wish it was!

I'll add to the choir of those recommending MTD Kingston, I've owned quite a few. The Artist and Heir were my favorite models.
