I've always liked the CBS/Fender Coronado II - and that's a prime example of one. Yours? The recent RI fell short for me.
And the EB-2 was introduced in 1958, and then re-introduced after a two-year hiatus in 1964.
And they sound great whether playing Animals, Cream or Aerosmith songs and copy P tones quite easily.
In '66 I sold my EB0 and bought an EB2C which I promptly traded in for a Starfire that I liked a whole lot more.

Aahhhhh, yessssss. 1967 Impala 4 door. The family sled. It endured my teen "off-road racing at the town dump" days in Mtn Home, ID. 283 2 barrel with a 2 speed PowerGlide transmission. Loved it and it probably lasted because it was so gutless it could hardly even spin its tires in the gravel. Lotsa good memories, though.
Great....... I get on here and get GAS for basses all the time. Now I wanna start searching for a '67 Impala..... don't matter where I go ................Thanks, TB. So..... would it be ......... "CAS"? Or "AAS"?
I have never desired a "Birth Year Bass".
Now, I desire two of them.
I don't have a birth year bass but around 2005 I bought my first EBMM and when I wrote to check the serial number to see when it was made it happened to be made the same month and day as my son's birthday, and I called it his birthday bass.
Years later I treated myself to an EBMM BFR Sterling HS with a beautiful roasted maple neck for my 50th birthday. Turns out it was made on my 50th birthday and was sent to me days after it was made. Now I had my birthday bass.
I have another son, and in 2018 I stumbled across a Ken Smith BFR4GN that happened to be made on his birthday. I had to have it even though it was a challenge to afford, and it has become one of my two favorite basses. Now the three of us have a birthday bass
Brian Cole of the Association also started with an EB-2. My EB-2, a 1959, I had to sell in 1975. It was stolen from the buyer in 2000.
But looks a lot older, like someone used it as a club because they did not have a rifle.
And the back seats of these things were about the size of a room at Micro-Tel Inn and Suites.
That’s not the four door sedan. That’s the much more sought after four door hardtop. Sweet.
