Hello everyone. I was doing some truss rod adjustments on my 70 J bass today and noticed a set of numbers that I didn’t see before. The factory shim was stuck on top of these numbers but today it fell off. Has anyone seen J bass necks with these numbers and in the location pictured. Thanks for all help provided.

There should be a set of letters and numbers on the heel itself which is missing...which would give me pause.

As for numbers seen in your photo, I don't recall seeing them on the Fenders that I had taken apart.

Good luck.
Thank you ajkula66. I’m thinking it could be a replacement from Fender. The headstock decal and other features clearly indicate it’s an authentic Fender neck.
