1978 Fender P Bass...MOJO

I talked them down from 1699.99 to 1500.00 for this bass...

I feel a more fair price with the new info would be 1299.99-1399.99

Just my opinion.

Or they can refund me some loot...put a new bridge on and call it a day. Lol.

I have buddies that work at the one in CT...they take vintage basses apart and photograph each part of the instrument.

They then send it to their vintage guys in Hollywood for verification and pricing info.

This obviously did not happen at the NJ location I stopped at.

well, you could either replace the bridge and get back to playing it, or talk to GC about returning it because it was not as described.

Indeed...gonna visit them down here in Virginia Beach and see what they say....

A new bridge would be fine...it is a real player...maybe just a new set of intonation screws...lol

Would certainly expect a little cash back to though I think.

Just speaking for myself, I have overpaid for things because they were in front of me and I wanted them. I have also stumbled on incredible deals out of the blue. It all comes out in the wash for me. If I was worried that a couple of screw holes could have saved me $100.01, I would take a moment to mentally amortize that money over the course of my life with the bass and it would amount to about $0.00013 per hour of rocking it.

A GC employee straight up lied to your face, and you are surprised? Whenever I go into a GC I make absolutely sure I know what I want because when you ask an employee questions they will lie to you 9/10 times. Had a guy sell me something that was broken and they had another at a diff store for 80$ more then what I paid. He told me this: I can't just take a discount off something just like that. I got my money back and left.

I hear ya. I guess I'm spoiled where I live because I am good friends with a few people that work at my local GC. They give me the info straight there...
