All the markings on the body are what look like spray paint (white) or marker (black flames). There are the regular amount of dings etc for a 40 year old bass, but the neck is in great shape.

Preamp is in there and working, previous owner said the pickup selector switch had been replaced. No ski jump! The frets are original, I think, and a little low. It was plek’d before I bought it so everything is in great shape.
It didn’t come to me in a case but it can come to you in a nice SKB case for some extra $$$. Price is in USD and buyer pays shipping. You won’t find a better deal on a vintage G&L!
By ‘83 G&L came out with the bi-cut neck. While there may be exceptions, I believe that design eliminates the tendency to form a ski jump. Please correct me if you know otherwise.

I would be more inclined to say reduces rather than eliminates.
My ‘83 is definitely developing a ski jump. My ‘85, less so but a little bit. My ‘87 is okay for now.
A well constructed neck will resist ski jumps and similar distortions but nothing is completely immune. Physics will do what physics does!
FWIW, I was in Halifax two weeks ago and almost inquired about this bass but I’m pretty sure my wife would not have appreciated me acquiring another bass while we were on vacation!

I have too many basses, so I’m going to periodically lower the price on this until it sells. Kind of like a reverse auction? And who knows, I’ll probably just keep it. It rocks!
This is a 1983 G&L L2000.
It’s obviously *very* road worn, but that’s because it’s an excellent bass! According to the previous owner, it was recently plek’d. Apparently the pickup selector has been replaced. Uh, possible refin? LOL.
This one has the older body style, where the upper (bass side) cutaway isn’t as deep as the modern ones. I think it looks cooler. Same with the control plate. And the black crinkle hardware! Awesome!
Sound-wise: holy @&$€! MFDs are no joke. This thing has more output than literally all of my basses combined, I swear to god. I would say this is the ultimate rock machine, but it can do lots of other sounds with its super versatile electronics setup.
It weighs 9.5lbs using the bathroom scale method.

Very Cool bass for what it is... sometimes you have to just take a chance. Unfortunately I have bought a Fender P Bass (MIA), a PRS EB4, and a EB/MM Stingray, and a MESA 4x12 Bass cab in the last 60 days plus a PRS 305 Guitar so I have put myself in debtors jail until I replenish the funds to my savings account lol.
As long as you don't add much micro-tilt, you shouldn't see the ski jump. One of mine needed more tilt than comfortable, so i added a Stew Mac shim to perfect effect. I'm a big fan of the full maple bi-cut necks.
