1986 Pedulla MVP Wiring Diagram

Hi, I have a MVP I am working on, the electronics were messed with before I got my hands on it. I'm not entirely sure what things are suppose to do. I am imagining volume, blend, treble, bass, pickup selector, active passive. Not entirely sure however why there would be a pickup selector and blend? But maybe it was common place? Or the blend is actually something else? Any thoughts would be great! I was asked to wire it back to stock.

This isn't an answer to your question, but I have a 1986 Buzz, the fretless version of the MVP, with non original electronics, and I'm thinking of trying to get it back to a true Pedulla preamp. Here's what Bartolini tech support told me, just in case any bits of this might help as you tackle this project:

"The thing is Michael in the early days did a lot of different things so "original" to this specific instrument is going to be a guess since the original electronics have been removed. There was an active/passive or a boost switch, depending, in one of the plugged holes and an indicator light in the other. We don't have those lights.

Would I suggest that the more modern system that Pedulla used in the Buzz basses will be a good compromise. The MVP/Buzz bass at his retirement came with (vol)(blend)(Treble)(Bass) and [mid toggle] with a custom NTMB. We make this and can perhaps change the mid toggle to a knob and you will have a Pedulla sounding bass without too much refitting."

Old thread but I just scanned this and figured I'd add it here. This was in the case of my '86 Buzz when I bought it new. Up top is the standard wiring, which I prefer. The others are the variants Inara mentioned above. Bartolini did custom configs for Mike but my understanding is that, with proper proof, they will sell you replacement electronics for a restore.
