Hey all, I don't know that anyone is interested in this thread any longer. But, I was able to purchase the bass I originally posted about. I sent the seller a note asking if they'd had any thoughts about reconsidering my offer, and they accepted it, and are including the original hard shell case. With the cost of the case, and free shipping, I'm paying exactly what I think the bass is worth. So, yay! I'm pretty pleased that I was able to be patient.
