1x12 cabinet recommendations, please!

I have a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 with the GB 2x10 cabinet. It's a great amp. However, over the past year, I've been building a tiny house on wheels. Because of the limited space in such a house, I don't really think I'm going to be getting my 2x10 in there. I was thinking it would be best to look for a 1x12 cabinet that I could run my Shuttle head through and leave the 2x10 at my folks' place. If the need arose, I could run both cabinets to unleash all 600w the Shuttle can offer.

The problem is size. The smartest place for me to store my amp (floorspace is at a premium), is in the underfloor storage. Our bedroom in the tiny house is raised 500mm (a little shy of 20"), and the space under that raised floor is all storage. So, I'm looking for an amp no higher than that.

Another issue is that here in New Zealand, there is a rather limited range available. Genz Benz used to be sold by The Rockshop (our equivalent of Guitar Center), but they don't carry any of the Genzler gear. The best option looks like buying from Australia.

Anyway, if anybody knows of a small 1x12 cabinet that handles 350W at 8ohms, please let me know!

I would take a look at a Bergantino Ref112. I don’t know how complicated it would be to get one to NZ from The States though.

@-Shaun- What about a fEARful 12/6/1 "cube?" it might fit lying on its back. It's 14.25 inches (361.95 mm) deep. Great Match for your amp, and one of the best cabs there is, IMHO.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I appreciate it.

It looks like there is an Australian store that stocks them, and ships to NZ. Could be an option. Any idea about the difference between the REF112 and the HDN112? I know the REF is ceramic rather than neodymium. I guess it's a matter of cost vs weight vs sound. Without being able to test them myself, I'm a bit in the dark.

Since you know how to build what about something DIY that fits your space exactly?

This is something I didn't really consider but could be much more rewarding and cost-effective than buying. Certainly an option. Have you built a cab before?

Thanks for pointing this out. I had seen the name fEARful around but that was about it. Another option in my growing list.

There’s a ton of information here regarding the Bergantino cabs and you can contact them directly..they reply quickly.
Also highly recommend the Fearless F112. Amazing piece of gear.

Barefaced has a couple of products that might fit. They ship globally. Not sure what would pair best with your existing cab. I had a Super Compact and a Genz Shuttle head at one point. It wasn’t the best tone I’ve heard, but it was certainly worthwhile.

Maybe not the best cab for you, but worth a look.

DIY isn't really a way to save money, but it allows someone in your situation to customize. That being said,; with proper design, material and execution you can have a high end cab for lowish-medium money.

How is the used market in your area? The Shuttle 1x12 would be (obviously) a perfect match. With a little metal-fab you could re-create the saddle, likely fitting the combo in the space. Or maybe just steal it from your 210t.

I've been doing some research into the DIY route this morning. A lot of the components are also pretty expensive here, as they are imported. The Eminence drivers specified by Greenboy are over $500NZD. Once the other components are added on, you're almost looking at the price of a new cab.

The used market here is pretty dire, to be honest. I've been on the lookout for the Shuttle 112 for quite some time.

I'm starting to lean towards either the Bergantino HDN112 or REF112. I can get both of them shipped here from Australia, at about a $100 difference, with the REF being the more expensive.
