2 4x10's or a 4x10 & 2x12?

New to this forum, but not at all new to music.

I am thinking about getting back into bass. I have a Ric 4003, and I used to have a GK 800RB (old style) and an Avatar 4x10 (before neo).

I was so impressed with the GK/Avatar combo, I think that is where I'll stay. Ul;timate "bang for buck".

Anyway, what are your opinions regarding 2 4x10 cabs or a 4x10 coupled with a 2x12? I will be re-buying either another 800RB or a 1001RB II. I play heavy music, but like versatility as well. I like all types of music from Yes to Metal, and jazz fusion in between.

I'd go 410 + 212.

4x10 + 2x12

From what I understand about Avatars, these two cabs complement each other very well...

That's what I use B410 and B212. Both are Neos.
Nice sound, and my wallet has more than dust in it.
I use these with a Thunderfunk 550.

I voted 4x10 and 2x12. both cabs can handle serious wattage on its own. You can probably get by with just a 212 for most gigs

I have Avatar 210 Neo and 212 Delta cabs its very versatile on their own or together
