2 channel send and receive wireless transmitter?

hey guys,

anyone know of a wireless system that i can run an instrument signal and also receive a stereo in-ear monitor mix through? I'm looking to go wireless (digital preferably) for some bigger gigs and stage shows I'm working on soon but don't see the point of having to have two separate belt packs. I've had a quick look around google and here but haven't been able to spot anything... It seems like a pretty obvious product because lots of people who are using wireless instrument systems are also running in-ears....

I think I saw this question asked recently and the answer is no, there isn't a product like that. Transmitter to receiver is not a two way street, so for a product like that to work the belt pack would have to do both, and the rack unit would have to do both. It's not as practical as it seems.

And for digital instrument wireless there is Line 6, brace audio, and maybe a few others. I've been searching for a digital wireless IEM system and the only thing I've seen so far is by Lectrosonics, for about $4500.

Most bands run both yes, but, that's why you see two units: transmitter usually on the guitar/bass strap for wireless and then the IEM receiver in a pocket or on the belt, etc..

Would be nice but that'd be one mother of a unit and having those separate is pretty simple when you have techs running stuff for you.

If you had a transmitter and receiver in the same package it would be likely to cause interference. Signal strength varies by the square of the distance, so your IEM transmitter would tend to interfere with your guitar receiver because it so close.

Same would go for your guitar transmitter and IEM receiver in the same chassis..

I've seen notes in IEM transmitters owners manuals not to put them in the same rack with a guitar wireless receiver. That's just in the same rack, not as close as they'd be in one beltpack.

yeah I hear what you're saying. I'd assumed that with digital (because it's using a much wider bandwidth) interference would be much less of an issue. Ahh well... back to ye olde drawing board...
