Hi tb! I'm in a bit of a pickle and thought you folks could maybe help out. So a few months ago I bought a used AF-2 Flanger for pretty cheap on reverb, played it for a few months and really enjoyed the sounds I was getting from it. However last week it started to distort really bad, every time I turned that pedal on, my signal would get really distorted and not a whole lot of the flange was getting through. I emailed Ibanez about the problem and they told me that I used the wrong power supply and probably messed up the innards, and that it'd cost well over the value of the pedal to get them to repair it, so I just said oh well and bought another one. My "new" AF-2 arrived today with the power supply that Ibanez recommended to me and it sounds exactly the same as the first one! Just as distorted and nasty, I used 2 different basses, 2 different bass amps, and a guitar rig and on every one of them it does it. The Taxi side of the pedal is much worse than the Takeoff side is when it comes to the distortion
With all that out of the way does anyone here know what the problem might be? Am I just unlucky enough to buy 2 shaged up pedals?
