2 questions about straightening the neck...

Sorry if these have come up before, but I have two questions:

1. Is it normal for the treble side of my bass neck to be slightly curved while the bass side is straight, or is there something wrong with my neck?

2. When trying to get a straight neck, is it normal for the neck to have a slight backbow when the strings are loose or off?

No. A neck like that would have a twist, not good.

Yes. It's harmless if you're leaving strings off just long enough to clean or put a new set on. If you're leaving the strings off for days or weeks, loosen the truss rod to straighten the neck.
