I recieved a Genz Benz GBE 600 from santa and I need to get a decent rack caase for it. I'm looking for quality and affordability, and a good handle to lift by.

2 space amp rack Recommendations

I picked up a Road Ready case from GC, and so far its been tough as nails, and the price wasn't bad at all 
There may be cheaper alternatives. but i've always been a fan of SKB products. ive never had a problem with mine. the mounting rails require specific rack screws that come with theire own nuts that clip to the rail. it seems a bit better that way since you can not strip the rail and render the rack useless.

+1 on SKB, I just got one for Xmas and I love it. It's stough, strong, and easy to carry. I highly recommend getting one. GC carries them.

I bought mine online from them off Ebay. Their prices were very good.

they have their advantages, but theyre not recomended if your going to be gigging and traveling with the rack a lot....its like a gig bag to a hard shell case.....both have advantages, and both have disadvantages.
if your going to be doing any kind of gigging, save the headaches and get a true hardshell rack

All the brands have something good to offer, depending on what your hardware needs are, where you do or don't like handles sticking out, what materials you like in construction. SKB is the most established of the molded types, but also the most expensive because of their prominence. Gator is giving them a run for their money. Also check out Grundorf, as well as many of the other lesser known brands. Generally, they're more affordable.

Pearson cases, are my favorite. I've had Grundorf's, but Pearson's are better made, and have better latches, and I think they are just thought out, and designed better. Those plastic bodied cases just suck, IMHO.
I have my Epifani UL502 in a Gator 2 space rack bag. It is a lot higher quality than I expected. I was always a rack guy, and have used everything out there. I am very satisfied with my gator rack bag.
Yeah I use a Gator soft case for my Genz Benz. It's the 2 unit model. Everyone claims that the amp will overheat in the bag but it has yet to do so and has survived numerous 5 hour open mic nights.
Never had a problem with it getting damaged but it always gets transported in my car.

I have an SKB case and a Gator rack bag, my GBE 600 gigs in the rack bag with no problems. I am also very happy with it.
I'm a rack bag guy myself. I just picked up a Pro Tec 2 space for my new Mesa Big Block 750. I used essentially the same Pro Tec bag for my Aguilar DB750 and I really liked it (even though it was a 3 space).
Of course, I'm not gigging every weekend either, so I can't speak to extreme use. Regardless, I like the way they carry and I like the extra pockets.

I don't believe that rack bags are not solid. They are really well built, with a plywood covered case. Absolutely no possibility of rattle. It's basically as solid as a road case (textured hard vynil or plastic covered plywood box).
Now for the BGE600, because the exaust fan is on the side of the amp, and that rack bags or road cases have less space on the sides than moulded cases, this might be a concern.
I have my GBE400 (Also side exaust), in a rack bag, and it has overheated (Thermal protect), but only once.

The exhaust for the GBE600 is out the back over the heat sink. The fan is on the side, but is actually an intake and not the point of exhaust. Either a hard or soft case has enough clearance to allow adequate air flow. On my Gator bag, I just make sure the back opening or "flap" is pushed all the way open and has cables laying on it to keep it wide open.
Never had a problem overheating.
Can't go wrong with SKB. Inexpenisve, light, well made, waterproof seal. Plenty of protection for years of around-town gigging. The Roto racks are especially nice.
Since the days of having a road crew are long gone....I get the cheap ones on eBay with hardware, dimensions, and wood thickness is good enough. I move my own racks(since about 1989)...one is a 6 space for Furman/preamp/FX/DBX comp/limit/gate and cable storage. The other is a 4 space with 2 QSC 2402's.
