2006 Fender P basses?

Really? I don't think mine had them.

To the best of my recollection, Fender added the "Rolled Edges" thing when they originaly switched from the "American Standard" name to "American Series" which I think was around 2000 or so.

There does seem to be some difference in feel between the American Series, and the new American Standards though. Can't quite put my finger on it, but I like the feel of the new ones a whole lot better than the American Series ones. The fret work has definitly improved.

While IMO the American Series basses were good solid instrments, if you found a good one, the newest offerings are a marked improvement all around IMO.

Nothin' wrong with a good '06 P bass though. :)

The Fender site says introduced 7/2003.

Did a little digging and came up with this article about the switch over to "American Series" from the old "American Standard" line. Summer 2000.

Yes, it's in referance to a Strat, but the changes were across the board on all the American Fender Models.

There's a referance to "rolled edges" too in paragraph 4.
