2006 Mexican Jazz bass

Is a late 2005/early 2006 mexican standard jazz bass worth 460$ (usd). or would the modern player series be a better option (600 ish usd)

Modern player basses are chinese. Discontinued. Tthat said, I'd get the "new" mexican player bass instead. (the chinese modern player basses were nice as well).

Definitely get the recent Player Series. If you look used you can get a killer deal. I got mine for $450 including shipping here on the TB classifieds.

My local CL consistently has ads for MIM Fender Basses of that era going for $300 to $400. For $460, I would expect a used Player Series, not the old Standard Series.
