Details

Up for sale is my 2010 Fender American Standard Precision bass. I received this in a trade about 4 months ago but it just doesn't get the play time it deserves. I guess I'm just more of a Jazz guy. Hey, I tried...

The bass is in very good condition. I only managed to find two or three tiny little dings in the body but nothing that is really even visible. No chips or cracks or anything through the paint. The only thing that I would note is the string saddle for the 4th string (E) is a bit corroded (previous owner failed to mention this to me) and I haven't done anything to try and clean it up. I've included a picture of the bridge so you can see what I'm referring to. As it is now, the bass is set up perfectly, for me at least, so I haven't had the need to adjust the string height.

Also worth noting, the fretboard on this bass is AMAZING! Seriously though, I LOVE looking at the fretboard on this thing!

OHSC is included with this sale.

$850 shipped CONUS.

The only trades I'd be interested in are:
- Musicman Stingray 4 H
- G&L LB-100 (maybe. Still unsure of the whole P-bass thing:D)
- MESA/Boogie Subway 115

Some great basses popping up around here. You won't have an issue selling, bridge can be cleaned up.

The bridge itself actually was pretty corroded as well when I first received it. I managed to get that cleaned up quite nicely with little to no effort. I haven't had the chance to tear it apart yet to try and clean the saddles. Like I said, it's setup perfectly as is now so I have no reason to do it.

Well if I can get a neck of mine sold, you might be hearing from me.

I'd actually consider making the trek to hand deliver this beauty rather than ship it. I've been looking for an excuse to get back to Maine. My family loves it up there! I need to pick up some more Alchemy too:D

Stay away from Bar Harbor come spring time! Lots of road construction this summer.

Man, we hit Bar Harbor on our way back to Belfast after checking out Acadia (early-October) and that place was a zoo! I seriously couldn't believe the amount of people (mostly from cruise ships) that late in the tourist season! I can't even begin to imagine the summer months...

Yeah it's awful. I only try to go that way in the off season. Nothing is open but at least I can enjoy myself and move around.

Can I ask what flatwounds those are?

The strings that are currently on the bass now are Ernie Ball Cobalt Flats, if my memory serves me right. It was all my local shop had to offer in the way of flatwound strings at the time. I've got a set of La Bella Deep Talkin' Flats sitting at the house but I've been too lazy to swap them out. I should probably do that before I totally commit to letting this P go...

Been using this with my reggae band the past week and am really digging the vibe again. I'm going to hang on to this one for now. Thanks for all of the interest, everyone!
