2013-2014 NHL playoffs thread.

Kings played an excellent game...the last half especially. The third period was complete domination and when it was over you didn't see many smiles on the Ranger faces. Listening to Lundqvist's on-ice interview right after the game (before he had a chance to organize his sports cliche's) you got the feeling even he knows this thing is over. I'm bummed the Kings didn't win but I enjoyed watching them take it to the Rangers all night.

Ahem ahem. But really, New York made us earn our victory. They played as well as LA did and it could've gone either way. So many great chances and so many posts. Wow. One helluva series for sure.

Great series. Great season. Great sport.

We had chance after chance...then kreider with the breakaway

Close calls for both teams...post after post after crossbar after crossbar...man...it could've been over at any moment. Quick and Lundqvist are terrific goalies; they deserved to both win but sadly, reality says only one winner.

NYR had plenty of PP chances. They scored on one but couldn't capitalize on the other PPs. It was nailbiting. The stress gave me a heart attack.

This was a close series. Might as well be a 7 game series with the OTs they played. Bottom line - I was really entertained. I had a gut feeling it was the King's season to win the Cup. Can't explain it. Just one of those things. Great series. Amazing series. Congrats Kings!

Me too. After they reverse swept SJ, I had an inkling. After they defeated Chicago, I knew they can't be stopped.

That was an amazing cup winning game, regardless of which team you support. The tension was off the hook. Either team could have won but it was the Kings again finding a way. There's been a lot of talk about "luck" in this series but when you win these types of games as many times as the Kings have this playoff year....kinda speaks for itself. I enjoyed the hell out of watching the Kings overall team game - all through the playoffs. I also enjoyed aspects of the Rangers game but I don't think there's any question who the stronger team is.

Stoked the Kings did it (and did it on a Friday night) so I could enjoy basking in all the post-game coverage for a couple of hours. I was switching between the NHL Network post-game and the Rangers local post-game as its always interesting to see the differences in focus and analysis. Just a very satisfying night as a fan who's been following the Kings since the mid 80's.
