Imo that's not such a bad thing (for musical creativity). Awesome fresh new ideas can come from the most creative people with limited resources. I admire that alot!!!!Well, here in Brazil there's no pedal trend of any kind. Everything cost an arm and a leg (it's depressing to compare the brazilian prices with the original ones) and a lot of pedals never appear here anyway. In other words, you just buy what you can find. That's life.
Real life example..... Jamaica and reggae and dub....wow.....mind blown !!!!! Lee scratch Perry and king tubby had sound laboratories made with insanely creative things. I still floors me to this day.
But yes, the social inequalities in your country are very sad indeed.
