I have fallen in love with a charcoal sparkle Stingray 5H Special with ebony fretboard. Today, I got a killer offer on the same bass in a different color (chopper blue) but with a rosewood fretboard. I've tried to discern the differences in sound, and I find it to be VERY subtle. The difference in price is $450 though (the rosewood being a steal of a deal for a new instrument). Do I go for it or hold out for the ebony?
