2018 Gibson RD Artist, sold quickly
2018 Rickenbacker 4003SW - Sold
1982 Rickenbacker 4003 BurgandyGlo - Sold
2015 Rickenbacker 4003s Jetglo - Kept
2002 Rickenbacker 4003 Fireglo - Flipped
2021 Rickenbacker 4003s - Sold
2011 Rickenbacker 4003 Midnight Blue - Flipped
2011 Fender Custom Shop Jazz - awesome
2011 Dunable R2 - 1 day old

here are as many pics as I could find.
I just noticed the white bezel on the bridge pickup on the Jetglo.
Is that a factory item or some 3rd party aftermarket trinket? If it is 3rd party where did you get it or did you buy it that way?

1995(?) Tobias Growler from Gibson Nashville.

I wanted one when they came out but couldn’t justify a third instrument then

This will be a gigging Bass for me, lightweight, nice balance and approximately 817 EQ options with the Bartolini Electronics.

I spent the first 3/4 of the year buying amps and cabs... Mesa TT800, Subway 115 and 210, Aguilar TH500 and SL212 (sold that recently), GK Legacy 800 and 2xNeo 112, Trace Elliot Elf head (sold) and 110 cab, and finally a Warwick Gnome iPro.

I only bought two basses this year, and both in the same week! They are the Fender American Performer PJ and MTD Kingston Super 5 in the picture below. The are pictured with "Bassby" (Bass/Baby), my LowEnd build from a couple years ago.

Wife and I usually do something regarding my bass addiction on our Christmas cards. These were laid out and stylized on the back of this year's card.

Friggin awesome!

Nothing, here.

Pretty well tapped out for discretionary funds, plus happy with what I already have, plus I really should spend pick up a new amp/cab before spending anything on another bass.

Actually ending the year down one bass in the count as one was stolen. Fortunately, it was a used, inexpensive one. I liked it but, luckily, at least it wasn't my favorite.

Love the look of the Dean Edge 4, @B-Mac!
Thanks.
Real sleepers! Has the electronics of the MIK Edge Pro plus an ABM bridge and a 2 position mid switch. MF was selling them for $399 president's day sale last year. Usually go for $499 and some sales for $449.
They make a 5, 6 and fretless 4 all the same way/same look. Early ones have RW FB while later ones have PF FB. Discontinued as all Edge basses are now MI Indo other than the Edge 1 which is MIC. Lots of NOS still floating around.

Another suck 2021 event! Sorry for your bass loss and I am very glad it was not one of your best.

Thieves are fools in many ways!

And Betty White just passed today. 2021 go away. 2022 will be better!

my favorite basses to buy cheap and get back into shape. Not a USA, but has the same neck profile as my 90's USA Fury, with the truss wheel-at-the-heel, and the pickup sounds shocking good. needed a good cleanin' and I got it for the purpose of tuning BEAD, so I have some used DR SS Lo-riders on there now. not bad for a 34" scale. Did a full shielding and bourns pots, the old tone wasn't functioning, and they felt crummy. Also tossed in a neck shim to help with the action. Now is I can find a black guard for it, i'll have my blonde and brunette versions. And the best part, both cost me a total of $130

Posted low, offered lower, seller accepted. The new one is the burst, I believe vintage pro. Same great neck and build with more presence in the tone! Both play so good, it's a bit crazy. Just phenomenal fret work and necks on the Epiphone offerings. And check out the figuring on that back....

Been watching for one of these for a while. It's really the only color I wanted in this model. Bought this one when it popped up, and strangely enough, another one popped up the next day. Such is life! Ibanez AFB200 hollow body short scale bass. Came with flats, I think DR legends?!? Needed intonation and a setup, but it's a beauty of a bass.

Second reverb sale in two weeks with great sellers, great packaging, and no shipping issues. Gonna stop while I'm way ahead.

And also a 50's classic vibe precision, but the metal flake CAR is still curing at the refinisher. Hope to post soon!

This '66 Mustang is the only bass I've acquired this year. I'm so happy with it, it instantly became my #1. It's been well cared for but mostly unplayed in its 55 years. The finish is close to immaculate and there's no pitting whatsoever on the hardware. The Precision I bought brand new in 2018 has more fret wear than this. All I know of its history is that the previous owner is an older woman who plays a Pedulla, so this sat mostly untouched in a closet for the 15 or so years she owned it. I paid about half of what the asking price tends to be for these on Reverb. It's strange to be the first person to be putting play wear into a 55 year old Fender bass. I've been looking for one of these for a long time and this one easily exceeded any reasonable expectations I could have. Couldn't be happier with it.
