You like the MTD? A keeper?
Another suck 2021 event! Sorry for your bass loss and I am very glad it was not one of your best.
Thieves are fools in many ways!

Yeah, the bass was already usable when I got it and I had upgraded the pups, shielded the cavities and found a used, HSC for it, so it was that much better. I had/have other instruments to play, but it pissed me off all the same, because it filled a covered a certain tonal spread and because some jerk who wouldn't appreciate that probably just traded it off for a few hits of of meth. I filed a police report and kept an eye on CL, checked a few pawn shops etc. for awhile, but nothing ever came of any of that.
After a bit, you have have to let go of the anger you feel over such things or it only winds up compounding the injury to yourself. Plus I figure thieves eventually wind up getting what they deserve, whether you ever know about it or not: they wind up getting careless and are busted by the cops or steal from somebody who tracks them down and exacts their own form of "justice", personally. Thieves/druggies tend to exist in a sketchy world where senseless violence and retribution are commonplace
I'll play.
Traded for a 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass.

Both are great basses.
Looking forward to a custom Dingwall in 2022.
Happy New Year to all of you on TalkBass.

I see you recently joined TB, so if no one else has said it, then let me be the fist....WELCOME to TALK BASS!I literally took delivery of an Ibanez GSRM25 today lol... cheap, but easy to play and sounds pretty great. I'm honestly shocked at how nice it is build-wise for the price. But this year was mostly about resurrecting neglected existing instruments and rekindling my playing...
I decided I needed a 4-string again after 10+ years, so I went to GC and got a MIM 75th Anniversary Jazz. Great bass!
That black Washburn in the last picture is beautiful. This being the last day of 2021 I thought I'd post my bass acquisitions for the year. I invite you to do the same even if you already sold any of them. Please post pix if you can.
Happy New Year, Y'All!!!!
