The neck was good, but not great. It was perfect for someone who stays in the first 5 frets. But I play up the neck and I like very low action. This one had a maxed out truss rod and that neck wasn't going anywhere without time, more money, and the talents of a good luthier. For the money I paid, I decided it wasn't worth it.
I bought a couple choice pieces and one magnificent failure this year.
Best of the best was this '18 Elite Jazz.
I'm not a fan of black instruments, or active electronics. But 30 seconds of playing this bass told me it was the best one I've ever had my hands on. I've played a few others trying to find it a brother. Haven't found it's equal. Yet. I'm still hopeful and will continue to search.
I just ordered and received a brand new Player Series Jazz. Bought it to be a jam night beater. Just received the return label vie email. It's going straight back to Sweetwater. Not even worth posting a picture of.
While I was perusing Sweetwater to see what I might replace it with, I had a GAS attack. And did something that got me a really crossways look from the CFO. I bought a G&L CFL L1000. It's Royal Purple. I saw the picture, and never had a chance. I'll receive it in 2022, but I bought it on the last day of 2021. Pics on arrival.
I'm also a guitar player and totally revamped my pedal board in 2021, as well as bought a couple amps, and a PRS Silver Sky. But this is not a guitar forum, so who flippin' cares?

I ended up getting 5 short scales in 2021 
got this Epi T-bird IV Dec 28...1/2 price, plus I had an old gift card from the boss.... used, but mint..plastic still on the tuner backs, pick guard and access panel
...I think they are discontinued?....don't see any T-birds on Epiphones site (well they have 1 T-bird 60's style but that is it)...anyone have info on that

nothing flashy or overpriced----just a new build/refin in champagne pearl with matching HS and fender CS 63's.

Sadly the bottom has dropped out of my gig schedule because of covid, closed venues and the absence of the public. If this were not the case, I would have bought more gear.
