My Eastwood MRG was ordered in September 2022 and was due to arrive in December 2022, but has been pushed back to January 2023, so that is not in the list.

Just one in, a SB-1, bought to be my number one.

It took us a little while to get on the same page as one another — the neck is a little more shallow than my ideal, and it has quite a strong personality — but now very comfortable with it. Easy to play clean on, and has a beautifully deep warm tone.
Sweet!
I like that finish with the Tort. What do they call that? Is that a Tribute model or a USA model?

It's a USA build to order (there's no Tribute version of this model) Quartersawn neck (for its benefit in the long term), very light empress body (for my benefit in the long term) and Pharaoh Gold Firemist finish (which is a standard option for the CLF Research L-1000 and -2000)

The tort is great in theory but in practice isn't coping with the dull British weather very well. A parchment replacement is coming.

i have one "2022 bass." it's a humdinger of a PJ. and it happens to be my most expensive pile of parts to date!

i've posted it all over TB this year, but maybe another pic of it is in order:

Man, that Filipe Santiago dude does nice work! I like how you itemize your mods. Its all right there.
Very nice Blue Burst if that is what you'd call it. All your mods are very classy looking.
Much more than lipstick on a pig.
Like that blue edge on the black pick guard.
Happy New Year to you and yours @JRA !!!!!!!!!

Tort is apparently a favorite meal of crocodiles. . .or is it the other way around?

It goes deeper than that. Favorite meal of cows posing as alligators.

For anyone missing my really bad joke… the strap is Moody’s Faux Gator (made from leather). Admittedly that strap is pretty visually loud on that guitar. I like it though.

I bought one bass in 2022, which I received last week: Sandberg California TT-5 Superlight. It's the first new bass I've bought since 2014, and is intended to be my lifetime five-string J-bass. (I bought a used G&L JB-5 in 2019 for this role, but it didn't work out and didn't last long.)

So far, it's been fantastic in just about every respect. The playability is just stellar IMO, and even though I normally prefer passive, the preamp sounds good. The construction is impeccable. Slightly weak A string output, especially in the lower frets, is the only negative. I think this is most likely an issue with the string itself or is caused by the flush polepieces (no raised poles for the A). I suspect the latter. I'm going to install a different A string to help figure this out. I hope to get it sorted soon, because I want to rock it for the next round of the adult band camp I've joined, which has been a blast. (I'd probably end up playing my G&L SB-2 for the shows, but still...)

I also bought a guitar in 2022, a G&L Legacy HSS. Excellent guitar, but I haven't played it much.

Just one for 2022. Possibly the last Super-J we'll ever see with a blacked-out, maple neck and a glossy matching headstock. Apparently the finish work on the headstock was extremely difficult to get right. Ordered in June 2021, delivered in November 2022. It took all that time to save up the cash balance. I'm certainly not worthy, but I'm very happy and not in debt.
