I'd KILL to be 26 again !!! I was in my 20's for the entire 1990's, born in 1969, so I saw Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark as a kid, stadium shows of all the iconic bands, and didn't have my entire life online, so there's that...Exactly one week away from 27. If I was famous I might be a bit worried. But hardly anybody knows or cares who I am, so... I'm figuring I'll be alright.

The apparent age skew among TB members is interesting. For example are younger bassists driven away by the strict moderation rules that most of us geezers probably appreciate?
Interesting...initial results aligned with expectations so far after reading the other post on this topic earlier today...
I think a lot of us who were teens in the 80s liked pretty much any "rock music", be it 80s rock or 60s/70s rock. Plenty of artists (Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, Allman Brothers, Doobie Brothers, Bad Company, etc.) were making hits right on through the 80s.
That said, my musical tastes are pretty eclectic.

It's funny... In my 20s, everyone told me, "Dincrest, you're getting old." In my 30s, everyone told me, "Dincrest, you're getting old." Now that I'm in my 40s and "officially" old (because no one ever looks back wistfully and says, "Ahhh, to be forty again...") everyone growls at me, "Ehh, you're young!" I'm not aging backwards, and my knees remind me of that.
And, if nothing else, my students think it's cool that I like to rock out on my bass guitar. (High school special ed is what I teach).

My daughters' friends think it's awesome that I play in a band at 50. Most of their dads are younger than I am but look/act a lot older.
Of course, with my hair and beard a lot of them call me Aquaman.
Since it came up, and since I turned 72 today, I'll share this nugget of odd numerical trivia: especially with those of you who were also born in 1950... I was 22 in 1972, and now 72 in 2022. Works for every year after 2000 (e.g. 1 in 1951, 51 in 2001), but ONLY if you were born in 1950. the rest of you all, well, sorry, it just doesn't work out!
At risk of starting a shooting war, for those of us in the 55-59 range, do you consider yourself gen x or boomer? Gen x over here, if anybody's keeping track.
