Might wanna check here. Just drop them a mail.

I play two 1x12 from Hans, the guy behind fmc-audio, and they're really great. I told him I was looking for an Epifani kind of sound but the Epis were just to expensive for me.
My fmc cabs are very close to the Epis but a lot (!) cheaper.

I already knew Musicstore and Thomann, I didn't find anything there that got me interested.

Right now I'm very interested in FMC Audio. I sent them a mail. The prices are very appealling and caligula said they have a similar sound to Epifani's, and man that is good!

Hey almeida,
as I said, I'm playing two 1x12 neo cabs and they rock!! I was looking for two 1x12 Epi but couldn't afford them...some damn German dealers are stupid expensive.
My stack was about 540.-euro, maybe 550.- can't remember exactly.
Best would be to describe your sound or provide a couple of examples, so Hans knows which direction you wanna go.
He's a very nice person to deal with. The only problem could be...he's pretty busy at the moment, so one has to wait for a couple of weeks.

I heard the FMC 2x12neo and compared it to the 2x12 Epi, which is a fantastic cab IMO, and the FMC 2x12 was very close. The Epi sounded a bit fuller, a bit more lows, a little "stronger", if that makes sense.
Concerning the difference in price...the FMC is the way to go. IMO

If you want to, Hans can use the same speakers like Tec-amp or Markbass.

btw.: I don't know about Hans' English but I think it should be ok.

Good luck

Dr. Bass Cabinets are supposed to be available now or in the near future through Rim Custom Basses rimcustombasses.co.uk

(also see drbasscabs.com )

Thanks man, I'll have a loook on that!

How about Tech Soundsystems ?? They make fine, lightweight cabs. I have a friend in the England who swears by them.

I'll also take a look on that!

Did you bought the ones he has for sale normaly or did you order custom shop? Because you said you described the tone you were looking for and when you buy "mass producted" cabinets you can't choose how they'll sound... (in THAT way, like, I want an Epifani sound)

Hi Tomas,

Robbie here from RIM Custom Basses in the UK, I have a shipment of DR Bass cabs coming into the UK in January, I will have one 2x12 and two 3 way 2460's (2x12+6) and 6 other cabs, so get in touch as these cabs are great!

There's lots of good feedback on talkbass about the DR Bass cabs, get back to me and anyone else in Europe!

Cheers,

Robbie.

Hey almeida,
My 1x12s are custom built and have a slight (only slight) enhancement in the upper mids, but I'm gonna have Hans "readjust" them so they will be "normal".

The FMC 2x12 neo that I A/B with the 2x12 neo Epi was from his regular product line and, like I said, it was pretty close to the Epi. So, the regular neo cabs are definitely "Epi direction", depending on the speakers you wanna have...I think he uses two different brands of speakers....he will give you more and better information on that....I would have to guess.

I'm thinking about a third FMC cab next year, probably a 2x10 neo.
They're light, very easy to transport, and sound great.

Unfortunately his website is in German only.
Check if he can give you some kind of a "14 days-money-back-service", since you're in Portugal..that way you could send it back to him, just in case you really don't like it.
