I just picked this up from an old man who owned the bass for over 30 years. He gave me an appraisal that was done on the bass in 1976, which shows all the cracks and repairs that are still solid on the bass, the appraisal showed a value of $1,000 30 years ago. The bass sounds great, looks awesome, I have no clue how old it is. The gentleman I bought it from said he bought it from the bass player for some famous jazz cat, can't remember the name. Anyhow, I don't play upright. Looking for someone to come pick this up from me. Probably needs a setup, but still plays fine, sound post is in place. I'll be happy to take pictures. I'm thinking $2,000 for this bass. Might be worth a lot more, you tell me.

On my way out for a while, reply to all pm's later, can't believe how fast I had four pm's on this bass already. More details to follow. I'll make a copy of the appraisal as well. I did put a brand new set of strings on her as well. The ones that were on the bass were 25 years old.

spruce top, maple sides and back, ebony board in great shape, no makes name, appraisal shows the same exact craks and neck repair that was done over 30 years ago, none of them have changed, this bass has been in storage for 20 years according to owner. The action seems a little high for my liking, I'm used to buttery low action on my electrics, but sounds great.
