I would not hesitate to spend 75 bucks on it, but I would not expect it to be suitable for recording. Probably a fine unit for live use though.

Nothing fancy. Strong black coffee + Carolans Irish cream. Heavy on the Irish Cream.

I would grab it. I had the 215 band version of that EQ that I traded in at my local music store. They are asking $150.00 for it.

I'm a cheap bastard so I would at least TRY to get him down to $50, but if he holds I would still snag it up. That's a lot of EQ for under $100.

I have been watching him put this on CL for a few weeks now. He started at $100. I almost offered him $75 then. I'm gonna offer him $50 and see what he says.

If the coffee is hot, probably not. Water boils at 100 C and ethanol boils at about 78 C. Of course, that's not the only factor in how the alcohol content is affected; to get the whole story, you need to look at the Henry's Law Coefficient for ethanol (corrected for the temperature of the coffee). But I digress...

If you try to drink coffee at 100 degrees C you will scald the crap out of yourself, and the boiling point of ethanol is what you say only if it is undiluted.

To coffee and Carolan's I like to add a splash of Xtabentun, which is a Mayan liqueur made from anise and honey.

As to the EQ, I'd jump on it. Few tools have as much general utility as an EQ.

My old B115 tilt-back just went this past weekend, and it gets a lotta use.
Wife of Nojj already gave me the thumbs up to replace it, so after picking myself up off the floor and closing my dropped jaw, I'm shopping around for a replacement.

Luckily I think I just got a bad tube, which means I will be buying 3 matched 6550s.
