3 Pedals NO MORE

You can have 3 pedals, No More and one has to be a TU tuner. So choose your remaining pedals, not necessarly brand, just effect by name.

Style of music: Church Music & Old School Deep Pure Clean Bass, Beatles 1960's - 1980's Style.
I am prepared to swap out a reverb pedal as I would'nt need it in a Church set up - if that makes the task easier. That's if a reverb pedal is necessary !

Based on the constraints...

VT-bass and EBS Multicomp without a doubt.

(However, I run my Tuner out of the Tuner out on my NeoPak rather than on my peddleboard, so that 3rd spot would be a toss-up between Electronix Submarine and Digitech CF-7 Chorus Factory, but in a basic setup I think the Submarine would win)

1.) COMPRESSOR: multi comp Invalid Link Removed, Demeter Opto-Compulator [Invalid or Expired Link Removed], or Barge Concepts RC-3 (my favorite compressor of the bunch, Link Removed.
2.) "PREAMP"/DRIVE: tech 21 SansAmp bass driver DI [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] or VT Bass Invalid Link Removed.

a good compressor and pre/drive can get you a wide variety of great tones that are usable in practically any context! good luck!

TU-2, BBE Opto Stomp and my 3rd will probably be a Boss Bass EQ. I need a little EQ for my fretless and, as it's passive, a little volume boost to compensate with my active bass. Cheaper and easier than doing an on-board preamp. I have very little need for "effects" per say.

ok... overdrive, so i would get a pre-amp in there too..so the one i prefer

MXR M80+

and a chorus or envelope filter... hard to pick... but since i can only have one... i will go with my chorus

just a Boss CEB3... sounds great and simple

but i would still have my envelope at home to play with.

my church setting is probably a bit different from yours but if i was going to bring only 3 pedals to church it'd probably be...

mxr dist III (i use this more as an overdrive type sound), xotic rc bass booster, and my dunlop 105q bass wah. i really dont like the wah but i use it a lot for atmosphere / build stuff in church (we play a lot of david crowder/hillsong stuff)

thats the majority of what i use week-to-week. occasionally attack goat and dl4 are turned on and i always have my basspodxt switching between a driving and smooth sound
