< 30lbs cab recommendations for lightweight rig

Under 30 lbs will be hard to find... Between 30 and 40 you will find a lot more options.. I had two Schroeder Mini12+LS that were very light at 21lbs each and sounded pretty good.. The only reason I sold them was because I had 2 other cabs in addition to them and a powered speaker for smaller things that did an amazing job.... One of those cabs is a Lil G 212 that weighed 39lbs and had a footprint that was just a few inches higher that one of the Schroeder's... TheMarkbass cabs are pretty light and sound great as well. I never owned one but I did play through one a few times.

I think Barefaced makes some really light cabs too...

I've gigged with two different Ampeg SVT210s and been horribly underwhelmed by both, so I would think almost anything would be an improvement! Can't speak to how these would compare volume-wise, but I know tone-wise and weight-wise a Flite Sound 112B will kill the Ampeg:

Flite Ultralite Speaker Cabinets | Bass Speaker Cabs

$365, 12 lbs.
Or, try the Neo version: $385, 9.5lbs

Nice! I was trying to think of their name... I had heard they had gone out of business but it looks like they did an Accugroove and resurrected! Good news! I always wanted to try their cabs...
