32" SCALE BASSES

Would you mind disclosing how much the King bass set you back ... I think they're pretty interesting basses!

I wish I owned one, but alas, no, just dreaming. I do have a S2000 though, similar to the current Stealth.
When I spoke to Status late last year to order some pickups, I asked and was told that the Kingbass 32" narrow spaced all carbon 4 stringer with no other options was 2000 or 2100 UKP, I forget which. There are a number of different models and options for the Kingbass so best to check with them for current pricing/options.

i think the kubuki is an excellent bass. the idea of playign frop d without having to transpose is very appealing. the other 32" bass i played which knocked me out cold was the alembic stanley clarke model. freakin unreal.

The SC you played was 30.75" as this is the only scale length it's available in. I have a Walnut SC Sig Deluxe. If you get the chance, try an S1 (got one of them too) or S2 in the same scale; it's all that and more.

The 2 I've owned were both 30" scale.

I always thought it was 32", so I measured it. It is actually 31" on the E string (quite a bit less on the G string). I have the H1-B with the non-adjustable wood bridge. You learn something new every day!

I find that the long neck makes it feel more full size than say a Musicmaster.

FWIW the "proper" way to measure scale length is from nut to 12th fret, then multiply by two.

I have since found out you are quite right, they do. The Corvette FNA LTD 2004 being particularly awesome

Yup, all boltons can be had in 30", 32", 34" scales, maybe 35" as well.

That makes sense since it takes the adjustable bridge out of the equation.

So it is 15 3/8" x 2 = 30 3/4". I measured from the middle of the nut to the middle of the 12th fret. On my P bass 17" x 2 = 34" scale.
