35 Inch Scale 4 String - Help Me Find

Wow.....thanks for the array of possibilities! For this bass, I am working to optimize for the Ab tuning. I am aware of the various arguments regarding the 34 vs 35 inch does not make that much difference. My personal experience however has shown that my old 35 played down to those sub-notes allot better than my current Warwick 34.

Of the options presented, I am pleased to see the Lakland 44-02 in there. I dont see too many metaloids playing Lakland though.

Anyway, all the inputs today will give me a good boost of info to my search.

Here's the most affordable solution: have a custom nut made that will accommodate the B-E-A-D tuning,or at least to where a B string can fit where the E is supposed to go. You can do it yourself by taking a razor blade and widening the string spaces,but BE CAREFUL! I absolutely DON'T recommend that to just anyone.

I used to do this all the time when 4's were my main basses. I achieved C-G-C-F,C-F-A#-B# and A#-F-A#-B# rather easily that way. I used a B string for C-G-C-F because I hated tuning an E string to C; too floppy for my liking.
