35 inch scale, 4 string. Where??

I'm sorry for posting this thread, but I couldn't find anything using the "Search Option".

I'm looking for a 35 inch scale bass, Dual pickups, 4 string. I'm looking to spend from $300-$500 and I have no problems with used.

Peavey USA Millennium
A Jazz pickup in the neck position and a MM pickup in the Bridge gives this bass a very definitive raw power. I have one if you'd like to give this bass a try. It is going to be on the very far end of pricy when it come to basses in the range you're looking for.

I meant to say I've already looked at them and I can't stand the newer models, the cut aways are way to wide for my taste.

I went looking for this a few years back... Same reasons as you, I'll bet (you play 5s, don't want to dork your intonation...)

I gave up. There are so few 4 string makers that do 35" - the only one I found that I liked was Ken Lawrence, but I couldn't afford it!

I went back to 34"s and have no regrets...

FWIW BigOLDHARRY Peavey does a gr8 job w their USA made Cirrus, Millennium ,and Accelerator basses that I wouldn't look back. 35" scale is just as good as 34" I have no regrets...

+1 on a Peavey.

The USA versions will be on the top end, but you could even look at the import versions if you can't afford a USA model. IMHO the Cirrus BXP was a pretty sweet cheapie.

I thought that the only reason "they" started building 35" scale basses was to improve the sound of the low B on 5s.
