A fellow TBer PM'd me about what I thought of the Enabler so I decided to post my thoughts here too. Most of these points have already been discussed here so if you have read both threads then look at this as a recap.

Ahhh the Enabler... My favorite pedal I have. Made extremely well for low noise, it wasn't really designed to change your tone like the BDDI does. The EQ set flat is your tone without change. I really love that it's so flat sounding at noon. That's the way I think all preamp should be setup. The EQ does a great job enhancing YOUR tone. The highs are very clean. The mids are awesome with a wide frequency range as you turn the knob. There's a switch for low mids or high mids and you can definiently here the difference between the two with the knob only at 1:00. After that it gets even better if you like boosting low mids or high mids. So easy with this pedal. I'm thinking about doing a video on the Enabler the only part that could really be defined is the mids so I may do a fast mid run through. The lows are great for fattening aswell but the magic is the "DEEP" switch. I leave that switch up and it has the best deep lows and never muddy. You know the kind that you feel not hear :bassist:

The headphone amp works great too. My bands are using DI and IEM to keep down stage volume and Im running everything through the enabler with awesome results. I have a monitor feed from the board to the Enabler's "AUX IN" and the headphone out to my shure wireless transmitter. Works great for controlling the mix at my toes and the sound is WAY better then I had with my Rolls setup with much less noise.

I only have two complaints both I know Spencer didn't want to do but they were the product of the design. First the D.I. Being on the right side. I'm dealing with it by turning it side ways but it looks more goofy. The other is the on and off switch doesn't work with the D.I. or headphones (only 1/4" out) Spencer said if it did we would loose too much gain because of the way the gain is routed. But it not that big of a deal. Honestly I think turning the pedal sideways bother me more (yeah that's sad).

I hear you on the DI placement. I wanted it on the left side but there wasn't enough room inside. As far as the stomp switch only affecting the 1/4" out, that was by design. The headphones needed the post-effect signal for gain reasons, and most people seem to prefer the XLR out switching independently of the 1/4" out.

a quick question for enabler users, sorry if this has been asked before.

Does the aux input only works with the headphone output? Experimented earlier and I tried running my iphone thru the aux input so i can play some dub wobble samples live, but no signal is coming out of the output nor the DI out. Is this normal or did I received a lemon?

The aux is routed only to the headphones. It's a practice tool.
