3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

i am waiting for my Doom 2. I believe, some day i would buy most of 3leaf's. This one is my first one.
Very close to ordering this one. The original Doom is my current favorite fuzz for building synth chains. This new one gives me a bit of knob-anxiety (he he) as one of the things I like about the OG Doom is it's simplicity and ability to adjust on the fly. Gonna have to gig with the new one and see if it opens any doors the original can't.

Can anyone who has a Little Black Box comment on the amount of boost available (in dB), and how well it works with the two band eq?
Reason I'm asking is that I'm eyeing off a Drybell Unit 67, but wondering whether pairing a LBB with a more "full featured" compressor would achieve the same thing as that combo pedal (which has a 3 band eq), albeit at the expense of pedal board real-estate (but with the advantage of being able to engage the boost independently).

I received a Doom 2 this evening. I spent about an hour comparing it with an original You're Doom. I definitely prefer the original. The new version lacks the character of the original IMO. If I had just one fuzz on my board and needed to cover a wide range of sounds, the D2 would be my choice. In my case, I have the FEA LABS Photon II to cover my general fuzz needs, and the YD to cover synthy fuzz. I am going to send the D2 back.
I don't recall how much of a dB boost it was, but it was a LOT. I want to say 6-10. Regardless, it's super clean and can get LOUD! Keep in mind too that the bass/treble are boost only
Man, the Doom 1 and Doom 2 in "you're" mode were nearly indistinguishable to me.
I wish that was my experience. I was very surprised that I could not get identical sounds easily. After a long tweaking session I got them to sound very similar once or twice. What was your signal chain? I used a MM Stingray Special 5 HH into the Dooms and then into my interface, a Presonus Quantum 2.
