Ok ebay gurus, back in the 90s I could really manipulate ebay sales, since then they've cracked down on carries and counter bidders, but did these actually sell for this?? The last one was 799usd btw
Absolutely. And your screenshot left out the last auction which closed at $1030! My guess is that since these were staggered, folks who lost in previous auctions tried sniping in subsequent ones. The first auction had less snipers than the rest; and notwithstanding the 3rd auction, the closing price climbed with each succeeding auction (it was actually the 1st auction that ended at $799).

I do as well, I have the first run of D2s and prefer the way its handled by envelopes. Wider range? Dunno, not as chopped off during the sweep.

I have a hard time believing those auction prices. It’s one thing for the numbers shown to be the winning bids, it’s another for the winners to actually pay up. Didn’t a few winners in the last one back out?
Spencer said they were a few winners from the EU who backed out last time due to the excessive customs fees/VAT, and I think he said one other winner who was just confused about the whole auction thing.
But it was successful enough to do it again.
I just hope the people who bought the pedals are keeping them. If they don’t mind paying that much for something they want then I’m glad that Spencer is getting the money and not scalpers.
I have a hard time thinking that they will be able to resell the pedals for that much but what do I know.

Regarding if any Customs , VAT, GST, shipping, import duty are applicable it’s totally the bidders responsibility to calculate not fail to complete the auction

If a buyer fails to pay or cancels the bid, ebay ussually pass the oportunity to purchase the item to the next lower bidder, wich is just a few bucks under the ending price; I would say $5 or $10 under the final price.
