Why pay 1200 when you could get one for 5000?
That’s cheaper than the one listed for $5k. Interesting that both listings use the exact same phrasing. “Only 100 exist and this is one of them.”
Because the more you pay for something, the confirmation bias thing kicks in, and it sounds better. The $500 pedal only sounds half as good as the same pedal does when you pay $1,000.
I imagine that I turned down selling mine for $5000, and that makes it sound better.

This is definitely something. I think the Noble has this issue and many other pedal's that are hyped up, with long waits, or limited builds. But it happens in other areas too, Home Entertainment, speakers, TVs, etc.

Like @Romain909 said recently (apologies if I’m mis-attributing this), given how production ceased during the pandemic it’s been fantastic to see regular releases of 3 Leaf pedals (and from the likes of Cog and Iron Ether). It looks like 2024 should be an even better time for pedal enthusiasts, particularly with bigger release numbers. Happy New Year, all!

Nearly 1000 D2 for 2024 will likely have a positive affect for buyers on the second hand market as well.

unless of course the fonts red, or better yet red and green.
Can’t argue with success. I question the veracity of the drops, though. The whole instant sellout thing, sour grapes aside has a definite institutional vibe that gets stronger with every drop. I’ve crossed my I’s and dotted my proverbial T’s and been in and out in less than 50 seconds and find it hard to believe i’m not fighting bots.
The limited nature of each colorway does help in collectibility. I can see that happening to a certain extent. That seems to be happening with HX Stomp, ie, ltd blue selling higher than typical black.
Me neither, although sometimes I feel a bit like one.
Great, in theory now each drop should last about three minutes.
