I'd love to have Fromel etch it, but this thing is already costing me a fortune to build. Anyway, the black powdercoat is super durable and will keep it looking good for years!
I'm so pumped for that DI you have no idea. I was just in the market for one a couple days ago and your post reminded me that I need to just wait till this one comes out. I think the line in/headphone out features on it alone make it awesome.
I bought an EBS Micro Amp II about 6 months ago because it had all the features of this one...lil bit of me wishes I waited...

would love to have one of these, if it weren't for my preamp/d.i. needs already been met and the availability of funds for music gear drying up. damn, must find a way try one out. Looks like a great little tool

FTR, a few weeks ago I added the PWNZOR to my top picks list--which I should have done much earlier, when I did the review. Honestly what happened was I got the PWNZOR in around the same time as I got a couple of more feature-filled and versatile pedals, and by comparison the PWN with its basically one good sound just didn't float my boat as much. But then later on, people in a thread here were looking for recommendations for a simple smooth fat opto pedal, and I neglected to mention the PWN, and someone asked why. Well, why indeed? No good reason!
It's smaller and fatter-sounding than the BBE; smaller than the Dedalo; takes normal-polarity power unlike the Demeter, and comes with customer service unlike Demeter too; costs much less than the Effectrode; fatter-sounding than the FXEng Mirage; better low end, and smaller, than the Strymon... Obviously I could keep going.
All in all, it's clearly a top pick--I just didn't realize it at first.
I haven't gone through a tenth of the compressors you've had but the PWNZOR is the one that will likely stay on my pedalboard until it's stolen or hit by a meteorite. It's simple and sounds great without killing my tone.
Will the XLR be on top also for the preamp. Very interested!

Not sure - I have a few other things that I need to get out in the next few weeks, but I am working on it.
Effects order -
I've been getting really cool results putting an overdrive AFTER the GR1. The filter's resonances and peaks are accentuated and make for some really useable vowel-like sounds. Sounds similar to an EHX Bassballs.
These combos work particularly well on bass and guitar:
GR--> Hotcake Bluesberry
GR--> El Oso Bass Distortion

How hot of a signal can the aux on the DI handle? I'm thinking this might be very useful for an IEM solution.
