4 Hartke HX112s and LH1000?

according to Hartke specs, the LH1000 in dual parallel mode will do 2x 2ohm loads which would support qty 4 4ohm cabs total.......2x 4ohm cabs per side
so, according to this, your goal is supported by the LH1000......

is this tonally the best option.......your ears will have to answer that........

bridging supports 1 load (not necessarily 1 cab).....minimum 4 ohm load one time...so for your goal, be sure not in bridge mode

Agreed. I'm only talking hypothetically here because i love my 410/115 hydrive rig with the lh1000 but having such a high level of modularity in a vertical line array seems very appealing. I guess dispersion would be vastly improved and the sound would be at a really nice height. But thats my opinions. Anyone who's tried out a 112 or two got any ideas?

2x12" (4 ohms) with a 500 watts amp is my typical gig setup (either the LH-500 or the Markbass SA450).

I've never run into loudness/volume problems with this setup (apart from a giant outdoor stage, but monitoring was perfect)

Right now I am using the db212 and 112 but I am thinking about getting myself a Hydrive HX112 duo as well

No experience with this particular rig, nor with using (4) 1x12 cabs, BG. But I've often considered this could be a very flexible and powerful type of rig to own. I'm surprised that more players don't gravitate toward using a 1x12 tall stack such as this.

My suggestion is to go for it. Frankly I think you might like it a lot more than your 4x10 + 1x15 rig. Main consideration would be to physically stabilize it with a lightweight aluminum or fiberglass frame of some sort - to minimize the possibility of it tipping over - especially when using it on a sloping floor, since the rig with head on top is likely to have a high center of gravity... :hmm:

I can attest to HALF of your proposed idea, and the set-up RIPS!!:bassist:

Using (2) HX112 cabs with my LH500. So in theory, with both cabs at 8ohms, I am only sending 250 watts to each HX112.

It is ridiculous to me how articulate you can tune this setup.
You can also go full on growl if you want.

Currently I am running the top cab with the tweeter in the 6db roll-off setting and the bottom cab with the tweeter defeated. I did this to "copy" my Aguilar DB112/DB112NT set-up.

Larry has hit a home run once again in my opinion.
I will be honest, I am definitely thinking about an LH1000 and (2) more HX112's for our summer run of outdoor gigs!!

Not to derail this thread, but I was wondering about the differences in sound between the HX112s and the Aguilar db112s.

I am thinking about getting a couple of HX112 myself and I am regularly using the db212 and 112 with the LH-500 and other amps.

What is the difference?
